well it's not truely the same track and car because the other one has the track that can pivot with the shock. that on is stationary and only serves to keep the shock in one place. donsent seem too useful.
Jacob-Prentner commented under brule's blog ( Jan 24, 2009 at 11:24 )
the rail and car was there to controll the rate and rebound of the shock as well as keep it from wearing out. If you have ever ridden one you would understand why it worked better.

Well, I pesonally am sad that they got rid of the "track and car" suspension that worked so amazingly well previously. and then downgraded all the way to single pivot. I mean, sure its less parts to wear out, and the single has been proven to work well, but honestly it can't be as good as before. I am also sad that almost every bike maker is trying to look like a Norco. even Yeti now has a hint of Norco in it. :(

Sorry but pm isn't working for me right now.... kinda wierd. But i do have some questions about the fork. what year is it? how much travel? what are the seals/internals like? are there scrathces on the stantions? are there any stripped bolts or the through axle? just that stuff.

Man, you weren't kidding when you said that the rear wheel is screwed. look at that flat spot in it! that is beyond a flatspot, that has a dip in it. nice. the bike is pretty scratched up but everything looks good to me, might be a wee bit over priced. but these bikes are awesome, i love mine:D

Ha, nice. I have the same bike! little different parts but its the same color and everything. Don't you love the look people give you when you ride this in town? my friend also has one, but newer. I love these bikes. And seriously, you only race on that thing huh? Because your front chainring is HUGE :P

$40 is kinda steep for shipping, if you use UPS then it would only be about 24 dollars. i mean, you can ship the whole bike except for the wheels in one box for $32.... And this is a very old frame, so OF CORSE its going to have scratches out the ass. but the condition of thise bike dosent look bad at all. How about $70 shipped?

biker123321: kinda funny statement, sorry to make you the butt of the joke. But it was kinda of stupid to say, inverted forks are awesome and widespread.

Nice pro level build on this, I was just wondering who makes that guide?

Aw no don't bag on him, The super8 is a great downhill specific bike. It dosen't do too much else but for on old bike they are great. Hope he likes one of the most beastly bikes ever. Does it have the stock avalanche shock on it? because those were so awesome, but the RST fork..... i dont like...

Hey Jacob, I just PMed ya. If it didn't go through, the fork has 170mm of travel and is an '03. The seals are in great shape and so are the internals. All scratches are on the lowers only and there are no stripped bolts. It also has a qr thru axle.
